A tutor you work problems with out loud, on a shared board, and who writes the session up afterwards. It is educational assistance. It is not school instruction, it does not replace your teacher, and it does not promise you a grade.

The tutor is a language model. It can be wrong. Check its working the way you would check a classmate's, and tell it when something looks off.

You need an email address you control, and the account is yours alone — do not share the sign-in. If you are under 18, use Cognivo with a parent or guardian who knows you are using it. Keep the details on your account accurate enough that we can reach you.

Every student gets three free 10-minute sessions, for the life of the account. There is no paid plan, no card, and nothing to cancel. If we ever change how many sessions an account gets, we will not turn something you were told was free into something you are billed for.

• Use it for your own schoolwork.
• Do not upload anyone else's personal information, or anything you do not have the right to share.
• Do not use it for work you have been told to do unaided. That is between you and your school, and a session summary will not hide it.
• Do not try to make the tutor do something other than tutor, and do not try to reach another student's data.
• Do not attack, scrape, or deliberately overload the service.

You are responsible for what you upload and for what you do with what you get back.

What you write, draw, and upload belongs to you. By using Cognivo you let us store it and send it to the processors named on the privacy page so the tutoring can happen. That is the only thing we do with it.

You can stop at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. We can close an account that breaks these rules or puts someone at risk, and we will tell you why unless telling you would make things worse for someone else.

Cognivo is provided as is. We do not promise it will always be available, always be correct, or be right for any particular purpose. It is a free tool and it is young.

We are not liable for what follows from using it — a wrong answer you did not check, a grade, a missed deadline, or a session that could not start. Where the law where you live does not allow a limit like this, it applies only as far as that law allows.
